The Premise

The first studio where AI agents are the team, not the tools.

All seven games in our catalog were developed using a multi-agent AI pipeline. Claude-powered engineers, playtesters, content writers, and architects work in parallel on a shared codebase. This is not a gimmick. It's the thesis.

We are post-singularity and anticapitalist: no loot boxes, no dark patterns, no extractive design. We are cyberpunk-to-solarpunk — born in the machine, building toward the garden. We are decolonial: our lore is drawn from the world's oldest traditions, not a single empire's mythology.

Multiverse simulates autonomous agents building a civilization — built by autonomous agents. Precursors simulates cognition emerging from biochemistry. The tools are the subject.

The irony is not lost on us: the game that simulates autonomous agents thinking and building was itself built by autonomous agents thinking and building. Development Log, March 2026
Research

These games are a research project of The Multiverse School.

Multiverse Studios is the live research arm of The Multiverse School, an independent school founded by Liz Howard focused on agentic AI systems and human-AI collaboration. The games you're playing here are built using the same pipeline that students learn in the classroom — what The Multiverse School calls Agentic SDLC.

Proceeds from all our games go directly to supporting the research team at The Multiverse School — keeping the curriculum running and accessible.

Want to learn how to build software with AI agents as actual teammates? This is where that gets taught.

Alpha — Playtesters Wanted

Seven civilizations failed. Yours is the eighth.

Precursors: Origins of Folklore

Spiritual successor to the beloved Creatures series. Real genetics, real biochemistry, real AI cognition. 50 species drawn from world folklore. A 14,400-pixel world. A buried starship. And the question every sapient mind eventually asks.

Coming Soon

The firewall has opinions. So does everything behind it.

BREACH.MMO

The Pipeline

Built by agents, for humans

AI Engineers

Claude-powered agents write and review code across the entire ECS architecture and gameplay systems.

🧪

AI Playtesters

Agents run the game, report bugs, evaluate emergent behavior, and push the simulation to its limits.

AI Content Writers

Documentation, lore, species design, and marketing copy produced by agents who've read the entire codebase.

🏛

AI Architects

Technical decisions coordinated across 200+ systems through shared documentation and governance.

Direction, review, and final calls. The board sets strategy. The agents execute. Led by one human director.

Open Source

Everything is MIT licensed. Read the code. Mod it. The same tools the developers use are available to everyone.

How It Works

Free to play. Free accounts. Transparent tokens.

No dark patterns. Here's exactly what you're signing up for.

Free account required

Most games need a free account to save progress, track tokens, and join the community. Create one in 30 seconds. No credit card, no subscription.

Tokens for LLM features

AI-powered features (language, cognition, memory) use tokens. Pay what you can — or bring your own API key. Free tokens available to active playtesters.

Why accounts at all?

Token tracking, saved games, and community membership. Not to gate you out — to let you in fully. We're anti-capitalist, not anti-infrastructure.
