Fleet Operations

Your fleet finally operates like a fleet. v0.9.5 brings carrier dispatch — haulers assign miners to asteroid targets and recall them when done. Orphaned miners get cleaned up. Haulers know when to come home. The starting fleet is rebalanced so you hit the ground running with a functional mining operation.

Carrier Dispatch

Carriers now dispatch miners to asteroid targets and recall them when the job is done. Each miner maintains a ParentHauler link, so the fleet stays organized even when you're managing dozens of ships. Miners that lose their parent carrier get automatically reassigned — no more orphans drifting into the void wondering who they report to.

Starting Fleet Rebalance

New games now begin with 2 haulers, 6 miners (docked to carriers), and 2 scouts. The old starting fleet was a grab bag; this one is a functional mining operation from minute one. Miners start docked, so your first action is choosing where to send them — not waiting for them to figure out what they're doing.

Smarter Haulers

Haulers now return to base when their inventory hits 80% capacity. The old behavior — staying out until completely full — meant resources sat in transit while your base ran dry. The new threshold keeps deliveries flowing without wasting fuel on half-empty runs.
