Slower Mysteries, Better Ships

Two problems kept showing up in playtests: the belt revealed too much too fast, and clicking on ships did nothing. v0.9.1 fixes both.

Discovery Pacing

Anomaly discoveries now have a cooldown between reveals. Combined with tech-gated civilization types, the mystery arc unfolds as your colony develops rather than dumping everything in the first session. Faction broadcasts and culture trait events — including the "isolated culture" message that was firing sixty seconds in — are now gated behind game day 10. Your colony has to exist for a while before ARIA starts narrating its sociology.

Ship Interaction

Clicking a ship now reliably starts camera follow. A race condition was silently canceling the follow if the robot buffer happened to be empty between worker frames. Click targets are also larger now — ships were only 3 world units wide, which projected to about 6 pixels at default zoom. They're 8 units now.

Cultures of the Belt is free to play. Pay what you can if you want to keep the lights on in the belt.
