Physics & Integrity

A player noticed that robots were violating conservation of angular momentum — undocking from an asteroid and losing all orbital velocity. That's not how physics works in the belt, and it's not how it works in our game anymore. v0.10.1 fixes the orbital mechanics and adds trajectory visualization so you can see exactly where your fleet is headed.

Orbital Velocity Conservation

Robots now inherit the orbital velocity of their parent asteroid when they undock. No more sudden stops in space. Movement targets track moving asteroids in the orbital frame, and fuel costs are calculated from delta-v rather than absolute distance. The belt moves, and your robots move with it.

Trajectory Lines

Every robot now draws a dashed path line showing its planned trajectory. At a glance, you can see your entire fleet's movements across the belt — who's mining, who's returning, and who's heading somewhere unexpected.

Save Integrity

We added checksum validation to save data and persist respawn seeds, closing two exploit vectors: localStorage tampering and reload-farming. The belt is hard enough without people gaming the RNG.

Cultures of the Belt is free to play. Pay what you can if you want to keep the lights on in the belt.
