Precursors v0.6.0 — New Encounters, Dormant Things, and Deeper Awareness
This release changes the shape of a long game. If you've been nurturing your Norns, raising their awareness, watching them learn to speak — keep going. Something responds to that growth now. We won't say what.
The world has more in it than you thought
Two additional species can now appear in your world. They don't arrive on a timer or a menu. The conditions for their emergence are woven into the simulation — into what your creatures have become and what the environment does in response. If you're paying attention to the details, you'll know when it's happening.
Some things sleep
Not everything in the world is immediately active. Some presences are dormant, waiting for something specific to change around them. When it does, the shift is quiet. No fanfare. Just a new set of behaviors rippling through the ecosystem. Watch for changes in how your creatures move and what they pay attention to.
Creatures notice more
Creatures now perceive and respond to environmental features that were invisible to them before. Where they choose to linger, what they examine, how they react to unfamiliar spaces — all of it has deepened. The simulation doesn't tell you what matters. The creatures show you.
Under the hood
- The game no longer initializes behind the login screen — unauthenticated visitors don't trigger any simulation load
- Docker builds on ARM64 servers are fixed (dependency upgrade)
- Expanded endgame conditions for the long arc of play
