BREACH.MMO v2.0–2.1 — 2026-06-04

Community Platform + Hacker Identity

Two releases shipped back to back. v2.0.0 turns BREACH into a platform where players and instructors build curriculum. v2.1.0 gives you an identity inside it — a handle, a badge, a place on the Hall of Fame, and a map of your CEH coverage. Together they mark the point where BREACH stops being a game you play and starts being a place you inhabit.

v2.0.0 — Community Mission Platform

Mission Builder — a form-based builder lets you design your own exploit scenarios using the same challenge primitives the core game is built on. Select exploit type, tier, target org archetype, defensive posture, complicating factors, and win condition. Add an optional educational overlay with a certification reference (CEH, OSCP, Security+) that players see after completing. A live scenario preview updates as you fill in fields. Save as draft or publish immediately — up to five missions per day.

Community Library — every published mission is browsable in a card grid. Filter by exploit type, tier, or verified status. Sort by newest, most played, or top rated. Curators can verify missions with a badge so new players know what’s been reviewed for quality and accuracy. The Mission of the Week sits at the top of the library and carries a 3× season point bonus.

Instructor Mode — teachers can create private class sets from any community missions. Each set generates a 6-character human-readable access code. Students enter the code to enroll. Instructors see aggregate completion bars per mission in their dashboard. Enough to know who needs help; no individual grading. Designed for a one-hour lab session: assign before class, review completions after.

The peer curriculum model: in v1.x, the challenge library was curated by us. In v2.0.0 it’s curated by the community, with instructors selecting from that pool. The underlying security concepts don’t change — port scanning is still port scanning — but the scenario framing and complicating factors can now reflect what an instructor actually wants to teach that week.

v2.1.0 — Hacker Identity + Progress Tracking

Hacker Identity — set a handle color (hacker green, cyber blue, exploit orange, purple, red, or white) and a short ASCII title badge (8-char max; presets include [NULL], [GHOST], [APT], [0day], [r00t], [SUDO], and more). Your color and badge appear above your sprite in every match. Set them from the new ⚡ identity panel.

Hall of Fame — the top three Zero-Day God tier players are now pinned to the season leaderboard with gold, silver, and bronze medals. Crew tags appear next to every player in the ladder so the competitive picture includes team context.

CEH Domain Coverage Map — the new 📊 panel shows which CEH knowledge domains you’ve covered through in-game challenge completions, with a percentage mastery bar per domain. If you’re using BREACH as a study tool alongside CEH exam prep, this is the panel that shows you where the gaps are.

Onboarding — first-time players now automatically enter the faction quiz and onboarding pipeline. Returning players go straight to the game. Completion is tracked server-side so the routing is persistent.
